About us

Debbie was raised in the rolling hills of southern California, surrounded by a wonderland of nature. The beauty of the countryside, and the cute creatures that call it home, have always been a source of inspiration for this self-taught artist. From the time she was little, Debbie has loved arts and crafts of all types, and her passion eventually led her to start a small independent business in scrapbooking. But, as fate would have it, her talents in painting were just waiting to be discovered!
Starting with small tole painting projects in 2002, Debbie's skills quickly grew to bigger and better things. By 2004, she had started another small independent business, painting faux projects and murals, and bringing her creative vision into homes and businesses. Debbie's talent didn't stop there, as she also became a professional portrait photographer from 2008-2018. And if you're looking for some bragging rights, she even won first place in the 2005 southern California fair for her stunning acrylic painting "Double Delight", a 24x24" two-toned rose.
After a 10-year hiatus from creating art, Debbie picked up her paintbrushes again in 2018, and by 2020 she had fallen in love with watercolors, painting mostly animals. Her love for painting animals grew stronger in 2022, Debbie started oil painting and began exploring the world of impressionism, where her art looks detailed from afar but reveals it’s unique bold brush strokes up close.
Debbie is currently best known for her cows and bears, which have become a staple of her impressionistic style. Her passion for Alla Prima, and art form where paint is applied wet on wet to the canvas in a single session, has only further cemented her reputation as a boundary-pushing artist who knows how to breathe life into her subjects.
So, whether you're a fan of her cute critters or just love to see an artist follow her passions and try new things, Debbie's journey is sure to inspire you!
